Those appointed by royal decree take the oath before King Salman

A number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, who were appointed to new leadership positions by Royal Decrees, took the oath of office today, Tuesday, before the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh. This event affirms the continuation of government work and the rejuvenation of the state apparatus to serve the interests of the nation and its citizens.
Details of the oath-taking ceremony
His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki took the oath of office upon his appointment as Deputy Governor of Al-Baha Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Saad bin Saud bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud bin Faisal took the oath upon his appointment as a member of the Shura Council. The ceremony also included the swearing-in of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud as Deputy Governor of Madinah Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as Deputy Governor of the Northern Borders Region.
The appointees recited the oath, saying: “I swear by Almighty God to be loyal to my religion, then to my King and my country, not to divulge any of the state’s secrets, to protect its interests and systems, and to perform my duties with honesty, integrity, sincerity, and justice.” His Excellency Professor Fahd bin Abduljalil bin Ali Al Saif also took the oath upon the issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him, repeating the same oath before His Majesty.
The implications of the new appointments and their alignment with Vision 2030
These appointments are of paramount importance in the local context, reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to infusing young talent and qualified national expertise into the regional emirates, the Shura Council, and vital sectors. The appointment of deputy governors for the regions of Madinah, Al-Baha, and the Northern Borders is a strategic step to enhance administrative and developmental work in these regions, aligning with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on balanced development across all regions of the Kingdom.
The Medina region, with its sanctity and Islamic significance, requires intensified efforts to serve visitors and pilgrims, while the Al-Baha region is witnessing growing tourism activity that necessitates the development of infrastructure and services. Meanwhile, the Northern Borders region represents a promising economic resource, particularly in the mining and investment sectors. The presence of young leaders in the position of Deputy Governor directly contributes to accelerating progress and closely monitoring development projects.
National responsibility and integrity
The swearing-in ceremony before the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is not merely a protocol procedure, but a solemn covenant that underscores the immense responsibility entrusted to officials. The oath includes a pledge to safeguard state secrets and protect its interests, thus reinforcing the principles of transparency and integrity that the Kingdom upholds in its governance. This auspicious occasion was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the Interior, and His Excellency Tamim bin Abdulaziz Al-Salem, Deputy Private Secretary to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, reflecting the strong support the leadership provides to the new officials to enable them to perform their duties to the fullest extent.
