The Governor of Jazan shares a Ramadan breakfast with orphans and children of martyrs
In an atmosphere of faith, warmth, and affection, and embodying the values of social cohesion that characterize Saudi society, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Acting Governor of Jazan Region, and His Highness Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jalawi shared their annual Ramadan iftar meal with orphans, people with disabilities, and the children of fallen soldiers and those injured in the line of duty. This generous occasion was held at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Jazan City, in the presence of a number of officials and citizens.
This annual initiative comes to confirm the depth of the paternal bond that unites the leadership of the region with these groups that are dear to everyone’s hearts, as His Highness and his deputy exchanged friendly conversations with the attendees, congratulating them on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, and asking God Almighty to bring it back to the wise leadership, the nation and the citizens with goodness, prosperity and blessings.
Leadership care and empowerment of vulnerable groups
During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor of Jazan Region emphasized the great attention given by the wise leadership – may God support them – under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, to supporting orphans, the children of martyrs, and people with disabilities. His Highness pointed out that this support is not limited to material care alone, but extends to include social and psychological empowerment, and creating a suitable environment that guarantees them a dignified life and a promising future, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places human beings at the forefront of its priorities.
Strengthening the role of the non-profit sector
In a related context, His Highness praised the vital role played by government agencies and the non-profit sector in the region, commending the efforts of those in charge of the “Ghiras” Association for Orphan Care in the Jazan region. He expressed his delight at the high-quality programs and initiatives offered by the association, which reflect the evolution of charitable work in the Kingdom and its shift from a welfare-based approach to a development-oriented one, thus contributing to the effective integration of these groups into the fabric of society.
A gesture of loyalty to the children of martyrs
The occasion also included a commemoration of the sacrifices of the nation's valiant soldiers, with a significant portion of attention dedicated to the children of martyrs and the wounded, in a message of loyalty and gratitude for the immense sacrifices their fathers made to defend the homeland and its resources. The participation of officials with these heroes and their children in such religious and social events is a long-standing tradition that reflects the state and society's appreciation for this precious blood.
The ceremony concluded with sincere prayers that God would perpetuate the blessings of security and safety upon the Kingdom, and that He would reward those in charge of these charitable works with the best of rewards, in a scene that reflects the highest meanings of social solidarity in this holy month.
