Palestinian pilgrims: Saudi Arabia provided exceptional services during Hajj

A number of Palestinian pilgrims expressed their deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the warm welcome and exceptional care they received from the moment they arrived in the Holy Land to perform Hajj. They affirmed that they were filled with peace and tranquility thanks to the comprehensive services and massive projects provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which made their spiritual journey an easy experience that exceeded all their expectations.

In various testimonies, pilgrims praised the meticulous organization and the efforts made to ensure their comfort and safety. Palestinian pilgrim Ahmed Mahmoud said, “The Hajj journey was smooth from the beginning, and the improvements we witnessed in services and organization reflect the Kingdom’s stature and leadership in serving the Two Holy Mosques. This is a kingdom of goodness and generosity that has never failed us, and we ask God to perpetuate security and prosperity in this land.”.

Historical and religious background to serving pilgrims

Since its founding, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been honored with the responsibility of serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for the pilgrims, a historic role it fulfills with utmost responsibility and competence. The Hajj season, which brings together millions of Muslims from around the world, is one of the largest annual human gatherings globally, posing immense logistical and security challenges. Over the decades, the Kingdom has invested substantial resources in developing the infrastructure of the holy sites, including the expansion of the Two Holy Mosques, the construction of modern road and rail networks, and the provision of cutting-edge technologies to ensure the safety of pilgrims and facilitate their performance of the Hajj rituals with ease and comfort.

Special importance for Palestinian pilgrims

The Hajj pilgrimage holds immense significance for Palestinians, who often face numerous challenges and difficulties in travel and movement. Therefore, reaching the Holy Land and performing the pilgrimage represents a profound spiritual achievement for them. The warm welcome and exceptional services they receive in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia take on a deeply human dimension, alleviating their suffering and fostering a sense of brotherhood and solidarity within the heart of the Islamic world, thus amplifying the positive impact of this spiritual experience.

For his part, Haj Abu Osama expressed his overwhelming happiness with the atmosphere that accompanied their reception, saying: “We were received with a smile, roses and a great welcome. This made us feel very comfortable, and that God has enabled this country to have people who serve His guests with such sincerity, and this is a great honor that God has bestowed upon the Kingdom.”.

Hajjah Umm Alaa, who had performed Hajj before, confirmed that her experience this year was completely different. She said, “We have been overwhelmed with happiness from the moment we were received until we were taken to the holy sites. The services are excellent and the hospitality is beyond expectation. I have performed Hajj in the past, but this year is different in every sense of the word. The scene is magnificent and words cannot describe it.”.

Organizational efforts in line with Vision 2030

These significant efforts fall under the umbrella of the “Guests of God Service Program,” one of the key programs of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enrich and enhance the Hajj and Umrah experience. This includes providing a comprehensive system of health, organizational, and awareness services, and harnessing all available human and material resources to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals in a safe and secure environment. This reflects the Kingdom’s civilizational and humanitarian mission towards Muslims worldwide.

For his part, Haj Muhammad Saleh said that what the Kingdom provides to the pilgrims deserves all appreciation. He added, “No matter what we say, we cannot fully express our gratitude. From the moment we crossed the border until our arrival, we have been living in comfort. The Kingdom has dedicated massive programs and projects, perhaps unparalleled anywhere else in the world, all to serve the pilgrims.”.
