On Saturday evening, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region, patronized the celebratory events organized by the General Directorate of Education in Hail Region to commemorate the glorious "Founding Day." The ceremony was held at the historic Qishla Palace in Hail, in the presence of the Director General of Education in the region, Omar bin Hajjad Al-Ghamdi, and a number of educational leaders and officials from the region.

A journey deep into history

Upon his arrival at the venue, His Highness toured the building and the accompanying events, viewing the diverse educational, cultural, and patriotic activities. These events were distinguished by their evocation of the history of the First Saudi State, reflecting the Kingdom's rich cultural heritage and enduring legacy. The tour included a visit to the handicrafts exhibition, which highlighted the folk heritage of the Hail region, the classic car exhibition, and the "Narrator of the Founding" corner, which presented a documented narrative of key historical turning points in an interactive style that captivated the audience.

The significance of the founding day and its national dimensions

This celebration comes within the context of the comprehensive national movement witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in commemoration of its founding anniversary, an occasion that recalls the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1139 AH (1727 CE). The celebration is not limited to expressions of joy alone, but extends to serving as a historical lesson for the younger generations about the roots of this blessed state, which spans more than three centuries, and the accompanying struggle and resilience to achieve unity, security, and stability in the Arabian Peninsula.

Symbolism of the place: Al-Qishla Palace

Choosing the historic Qishla Palace as the venue for the celebration added a cultural and aesthetic dimension to the occasion. The palace is one of the most important archaeological landmarks in the Hail region and a testament to a significant period in the history of the Kingdom's unification. Integrating educational activities with historical sites reflects the Ministry of Education's commitment to connecting students with their tangible and intangible heritage and strengthening national identity through exposure to places whose walls speak of the past.
