The General Secretariat of the Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman Award for Women's Excellence announced the closing of nominations for the eighth edition of the award, marking the start of the selection, evaluation, and judging phase for the competing works. This edition witnessed a significant and high level of participation, with the Secretariat receiving more than 500 outstanding works competing for the award across its six diverse categories, designed to cover various aspects of creativity and development.

The prestige of the award and its pioneering role

The Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman Award holds special significance as the first annual award in Saudi Arabia dedicated entirely to celebrating and highlighting the achievements of Saudi women. This award falls under the umbrella of Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, the largest women's university in the world, lending it considerable academic and societal weight. Since its inception, the award has aimed to support women's meaningful participation in comprehensive national development and to encourage positive competition that benefits the nation.

In a statement regarding this achievement, Dr. Rasha Al-Ghafees, Secretary General of the Award, explained that receiving over 500 submissions clearly reflects the scientific and cultural dynamism taking place in the Kingdom.
