Princess Nourah University organizes the second Career Future Forum

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University 's College of Applied Sciences is preparing to host the second edition of its "Career Futures" forum, scheduled for next Thursday at the university's central library. This unique event targets students and graduates of diploma programs, representing a strategic step aimed at bridging the gap between educational outcomes and the rapidly evolving demands of the job market.

A platform to enhance human capital

This forum comes at a time when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing radical transformations in the education and training sector, with the leadership placing great emphasis on applied college programs that focus on professional and technical skills. This approach is an integral part of the university's developmental drive to enhance the role of women in economic development, transforming the university from a traditional academic institution into an incubator for professional talent capable of competing in various sectors.

In line with the goals of Vision 2030

The "Career Future" forum gains its importance from its close alignment with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , specifically regarding the human capital development program and increasing women's participation in the labor market. By bringing together more than 30 leading companies and institutions from both the public and private sectors under one roof, the university provides a fertile environment for direct interaction, making it easier for female graduates to understand the actual needs of employers and access training opportunities that lead to employment, or accredited professional certifications that enhance their market value.

Various activities to build professional readiness

The event is not just a job fair; it's a comprehensive mentoring platform. The program includes a series of intensive workshops and mentoring sessions covering vital areas, most notably:

  • The art of preparing a professional resume according to the latest standards.
  • Strategies for preparing for and successfully passing job interviews.
  • Developing leadership skills and effective communication skills in different work environments.

The forum also includes informational sections about the college's applied programs, and a special section for the Student and Career Support Center, to provide immediate consultations to female visitors.

A strategic vision for the future

Commenting on the importance of the event, Dr. Badriya Al-Muzaini, Executive Vice President of the College of Applied Sciences, emphasized that the forum primarily aims to transition students from theoretical studies to practical, applied learning. She noted that these efforts align with Princess Nourah University's strategic plan, which seeks to deliver high-quality educational outcomes and empower Saudi women by equipping them with the necessary tools to be active partners in building a prosperous and diversified national economy.
