Princess Nourah University launches the “Bridge to the Future” exhibition to empower healthcare professionals

In a strategic move aimed at bridging the gap between academic output and the demands of the rapidly evolving job market, the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University the "Bridge to the Future" exhibition on Monday. Held at the university's Natural and Health Sciences Research Center, the event drew a significant academic and professional audience, serving as a vital link between students and the healthcare sector.

A platform to link education with the labor market

The "Bridge to the Future" exhibition is organized in response to the urgent need to strengthen the integration between theoretical education and professional practice in the health sciences. The exhibition directly highlights the alignment of the college's outputs with the actual needs of the healthcare sector in the Kingdom, showcasing research solutions and innovative projects presented by female students that will contribute to the development of the healthcare system.

The exhibition's role is not limited to display only, but extends to building real opportunities for training and joint research cooperation with the health sector, which enhances the readiness of female graduates to engage in the work environment immediately after their graduation.

Scientific and professional movement with broad participation

The exhibition witnessed wide participation and great interaction, and included:

  • Around 300 female students from the college participated to present their research and projects.
  • The presence of approximately 28 leading health organizations within the "Career Day" corner opened direct communication channels between students and employers.
  • More than 50 scientific projects and research papers in the scientific poster corner, covering various fields of rehabilitation and health sciences.

The events also included a scientific research competition, which was carefully evaluated by specialists, to encourage academic dialogue and improve the quality of research outputs.

Alignment with the Kingdom's Vision 2030

This event is particularly significant given the major transformations underway in Saudi Arabia, where Princess Nourah University, the world's largest women's university, plays a pivotal role in empowering Saudi women. This exhibition aligns with the goals of Vision 2030 , specifically the "Human Capability Development Program," which focuses on equipping citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of the future labor market.

By integrating scientific research with professional application, the university contributes to strengthening the knowledge economy and supporting the health sector with qualified national personnel capable of dealing with modern health challenges and using advanced technologies in care and rehabilitation.

Strategic empowerment initiatives

For her part, Dr. Hadeel Al-Saleh, Dean of the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, affirmed that the "Bridge to the Future" exhibition represents one of the strategic initiatives reflecting the college's serious commitment to linking scientific research with professional training. She indicated that the exhibition primarily aims to empower female students to transition smoothly from the academic environment to the healthcare job market, equipped with experience and confidence.

Al-Saleh added that combining "Scientific Poster Day" and "Career Day" in one event, with broad participation from hospitals and health centers, reflects the university's commitment to graduating competent individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also possess the tools for innovation and professional development.

The exhibition concludes with the university affirming its commitment to continuing to build bridges of academic and professional communication, promoting values, knowledge, and skills that serve the nation and drive the wheel of health development forward.
