Representing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, will attend the ceremony to present the awards to 10 winners who have distinguished themselves through their humanitarian initiatives and work.
Establishing the concepts of humanitarian and social work
This generous royal patronage underscores the wise leadership's commitment to supporting the non-profit sector and encouraging institutional and sustainable social work. The Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the region dedicated to promoting social work. It was established in memory of Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on her – who was renowned for her generosity and extensive charitable initiatives. Since its inception, the award has aimed to highlight exemplary individuals and institutions within the community who have offered innovative solutions to social challenges and contributed to national development.
Special tribute to the Princess Seeta Endowment
In a gesture of appreciation, the Princess Seetah Endowment will be a guest of honor at the 13th session, in recognition of its pivotal role in development and charitable work. This honor highlights the importance of endowments in sustaining charitable work and their role in funding humanitarian projects that serve broad segments of society, thus reinforcing the concept of social solidarity, which is encouraged by Islamic law and adopted by the Kingdom as a steadfast principle.
Vision 2030 and discovering creative talents
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Fahd bin Hamad Al-Maghlouth, affirmed that the award does not merely honor individuals, but strives to discover more creative talents among the sons and daughters of the nation, in addition to governmental, private, and endowment entities. He pointed out that this approach is perfectly aligned with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great importance on the social responsibility sector and aspires to increase the contribution of the non-profit sector to the gross domestic product, and to promote a culture of volunteerism and social innovation to ensure the cohesion and well-being of society.
The award’s continuation for the thirteenth consecutive year reflects its success in creating a fair and competitive environment in the field of charity, thereby motivating national energies to offer their best to serve humanity and the place, thus consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a leading country in humanitarian and social work at the regional and international levels.
