The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques announced the details and dates for receiving applications for permits to provide iftar meals for fasting individuals at the Prophet's Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan this year. This announcement is part of its early preparations to serve pilgrims and organize charitable work within the Prophet's Mosque. The announcement includes individuals and national non-profit organizations, in strategic cooperation with the national charitable platform "Ihsan" and the Nusuk Humanitarian Foundation.
Application deadlines for individuals and associations
The authority clarified the application schedule in its official statement, stating that individual applications will be accepted starting next Sunday, the 6th of Sha'ban, and will be open for two days only. Meanwhile, non-profit organizations wishing to obtain permits will begin submitting their applications on Wednesday, the 9th of Sha'ban, and will have three days to do so. This schedule aims to streamline the application process and ensure accurate and efficient review of applications.
The importance of the breakfast meal in the Prophet's Mosque
The iftar meals provided at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina are among the largest Ramadan meals in the world, representing a cultural and spiritual phenomenon that reflects the values of solidarity and compassion within the Muslim community. These meals are of paramount importance due to the millions of visitors and pilgrims who flock to Medina during the holy month. The impact extends beyond the religious and spiritual realms to encompass organizational and social aspects, as official and public efforts combine to provide millions of meals daily according to the highest standards of quality and food safety.
Digital organization and collaboration with the Ihsan platform
In a move reflecting technological advancements in managing the affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, a collaboration with the "Ihsan" platform and the "Nusuk" Foundation has been established to ensure the efficient governance of charitable work and its delivery to those in need. This digital transformation facilitates procedures for donors and service providers while simultaneously guaranteeing adherence to strict health and regulatory requirements within the Prophet's Mosque and its courtyards, thus preventing food waste and preserving the cleanliness and sanctity of the place.
Terms and conditions required
The authority urged all applicants, whether individuals or charitable organizations, to carefully review the terms and conditions available on its website before submitting their applications. Key requirements include the price of the meal being provided by the catering company, the precise location of the dining area, and the completion of payment and submission of required information via the designated service link. The authority emphasized the importance of adhering to the permitted types of meals and the established distribution and removal procedures, ensuring a swift response before the prayer service begins, to guarantee the smooth flow of worshippers and visitors.
