The Prophet's Mosque in Medina witnessed a massive influx of worshippers and record-breaking numbers during the month of Rajab in 1447 AH. Authorities announced that the total number of worshippers and visitors exceeded 25 million, specifically 25,074,929. These large numbers were accommodated by a comprehensive system of operational and organizational services that successfully managed the crowds and provided a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere befitting the sanctity of the place and the significance of the time.
According to official statistics released by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, the Rawdah Al-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit) – which Muslims describe as a garden from the gardens of Paradise – witnessed the arrival of approximately 1,293,867 worshippers during the same period, in accordance with precise organizational procedures that ensured the smooth flow of entry and exit. Additionally, 2,590,857 visitors had the honor of greeting the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (may God be pleased with them), in scenes of faith characterized by tranquility and reverence.

It is the second of the two Holy Mosques and one of the three mosques to which Muslims are encouraged to travel.
