Public service camps launched in Ramadan 1447 AH at the Two Holy Mosques

The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association launched its public service camps for the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH on Tuesday evening at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. This annual event sees wide participation from over 750 scouts, young men, and scout leaders, who have dedicated their time and efforts to providing the highest quality services to pilgrims throughout the blessed month.

Strengthening the volunteer work system and keeping pace with the national vision

These camps hold special significance as they represent a continuation of the long history of Saudi scouts in serving pilgrims and Umrah performers, and a true embodiment of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to reach one million volunteers in the non-profit sector. The role of these camps extends beyond mere field organization; it also reflects the bright image of Saudi youth and their dedication to serving those visiting the Two Holy Mosques, thus reinforcing the values of giving, generosity, and national belonging.

The program, which continues until the end of Ramadan, aims to achieve qualitative integration with governmental and security agencies, as scouts work alongside the relevant sectors to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims and worshippers, and to provide a safe and comfortable environment that enables them to perform their religious duties with ease and convenience.

Integration of sectors and unification of field efforts

This year's season is witnessing close cooperation between various scouting sectors and government agencies, including the Ministry of Education, Saudi universities, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Ministry of Sports. This institutional alliance aims to unify scouting efforts and enhance the efficiency of volunteer services provided in the field.

The tasks assigned to the participants vary, including supporting the special forces for Hajj and Umrah security and assisting security patrol commanders in the central areas of Mecca and Medina. The scouts also actively contribute to the efforts of the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque by organizing crowds, guiding lost pilgrims, assisting the elderly and people with disabilities, distributing breakfast meals, and providing other valuable humanitarian services.

Distribution of human resources and values of responsibility

As part of the operational plan for the camps, qualified and trained personnel were carefully deployed to ensure coverage of key locations. More than 400 scouts and leaders are participating in Mecca, while over 350 are in Medina. These participants undergo intensive training programs that equip them to handle large crowds and varying conditions with a high sense of responsibility.

What these young people are offering in the fields of humanitarian service embodies the highest meanings of mercy and social solidarity, and confirms the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims, harnessing all its human and material capabilities for the comfort of the guests of God.
