Visit times to the Prophet's Mosque via the Nusuk Hajj app

Booking appointments to visit the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah) for pilgrims

Visiting the Rawdah Al-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit) in the Prophet's Mosque is a dream for millions of Muslims worldwide, especially during the blessed Hajj season. As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to facilitate the performance of religious rites and provide a safe and spiritually enriching environment, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announced the availability of appointment bookings for visiting the Rawdah Al-Sharifah through the "Nusk" mobile application. This step is part of a comprehensive and enhanced system of services provided to pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque during this year's Hajj season, ensuring smooth traffic flow and reducing overcrowding.

Visiting times for the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah) for men and women

To ensure crowd management, the authority has set precise visiting hours, divided into periods to suit everyone. For men on regular days, the first period begins at 2:00 AM and continues until dawn, while the second period extends from 11:20 AM until the evening prayer. For women, the visiting hours are as follows: the first period is from after the dawn prayer until 11:00 AM, and the second period begins after the evening prayer and continues until 2:00 AM.

Regarding Friday, specific times have been allocated for the Friday prayer; the men's hours are from 2:00 AM until dawn, and from 9:00 AM until the evening prayer. The women's hours on Friday are from after the dawn prayer until 9:00 AM, and from after the evening prayer until 2:00 AM.

The historical and spiritual context of the Holy Garden

The Rawdah al-Sharifah (the Noble Garden) holds a revered and sacred place in the hearts of Muslims. It is the pure space located between the chamber of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his pulpit. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise.” This immense virtue makes prayer and supplication there a primary goal for every visitor to Medina. Historically, the Prophet’s Mosque and the Rawdah al-Sharifah have witnessed significant expansions and attention from the Saudi leadership over the decades to accommodate the ever-increasing millions of pilgrims and Umrah performers, while fully preserving the unique architectural and spiritual character of the area.

The importance of the “Nusk” application and its regional and international impact

The Nusuk app represents a major leap forward in digitizing services for pilgrims and is one of the most significant achievements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 initiatives. The app aims to facilitate the Hajj and Umrah journeys for pilgrims from around the world, from obtaining visas to booking prayer times at the Prophet's Mosque and performing Umrah rituals. This digital transformation has a profound international impact, enabling millions of Muslims to easily plan their spiritual journeys from their home countries, eliminating chaos and disorganized crowding, and reflecting the Kingdom's pioneering technological and organizational advancements.

Organizational efforts to serve the guests of God

The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques emphasized the necessity and importance of obtaining permits in advance through the “Nusk” application before heading to the Prophet’s Mosque. It stressed the importance of visitors adhering to the times specified in their permits and following the organizational and guidance instructions issued by security personnel and organizers in the courtyards and inside the mosque. This shared commitment between the organizers and visitors effectively contributes to creating a safe and comfortable environment, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals in an atmosphere filled with faith, tranquility, and peace.
