Announcement of the readiness of the government offices complex in the holy sites
In conjunction with the early and intensive preparations for the Hajj season, the General Authority for State Properties announced the completion of the government offices complex in the Holy Sites, ready to host all government agencies participating in organizing the 1447 AH Hajj season. This announcement represents a significant strategic step reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing the best possible facilities to serve the pilgrims and facilitate the work of the national personnel involved in managing this global Islamic event.
Figures and facts about the model project
The government complex in the Holy Sites is a pioneering and exemplary project, designed and implemented according to the highest technical and modern standards. The complex boasts a vital strategic location near the Holy Sites, spanning a vast area of over 1.35 million square meters. This massive edifice comprises 65 fully equipped buildings, with a capacity to accommodate over 10,000 employees from various government, security, and service sectors.
Historical context and importance of relocating government departments
Historically, government offices were located within Mina, consuming vast areas of land that could have been used to accommodate pilgrims. Therefore, the idea arose to establish a government complex outside or on the outskirts of the holy sites as an organizational solution. This aims to free up additional space within Mina to accommodate larger numbers of pilgrims and provide more room for their tents. This approach aligns perfectly with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the "Service to the Guests of God" program, which seeks to transform the Hajj and Umrah experience, enhance the services provided, and facilitate the performance of the rituals.
An integrated work environment to serve the guests of God
The complex provides an integrated work environment that combines administrative and residential facilities for government employees. The project's design extends beyond simply providing offices; it also includes comfortable accommodation and state-of-the-art amenities, along with a dedicated management team responsible for 24/7 operation and maintenance. This integration primarily aims to empower government agencies to perform their duties with high efficiency and enhance effective and direct coordination and communication between various sectors, which positively impacts the quality and speed of services provided to pilgrims.
Local, regional and international impact
At the local level, the government complex in the Holy Sites contributes to enhancing the efficiency of government performance and reducing traffic and crowd congestion within the Holy Sites. At the regional and international levels, the readiness of such a massive infrastructure sends a reassuring message to the entire Islamic world, affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's exceptional logistical and organizational capabilities in managing crowds and organizing the world's largest gatherings. Providing an ideal working environment for the personnel serving pilgrims ensures a faster response to emergencies and the provision of better healthcare and security, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's leading role in serving Islam and Muslims.
