With the influx of pilgrims to Medina after completing their Hajj rituals, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce has intensified its efforts by conducting comprehensive monitoring and supply inspections of markets and commercial outlets in the city. These proactive inspections aim to monitor the supply situation, ensure the availability of essential goods and products, and confirm that commercial establishments are prepared to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims.

These measures are of particular importance given the great spiritual significance of Medina in the hearts of Muslims. It is the city that embraced the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his message, and it houses the Prophet's Mosque. Historically, visiting Medina has been an integral part of the Hajj pilgrimage, with millions of pilgrims flocking to it after performing their rituals to pray in the Prophet's Mosque and offer their greetings to the Prophet and his two companions, creating exceptional demand for goods and services.

The Ministry's inspection teams conduct intensive field tours covering various vital locations frequented by visitors. These tours include the central area surrounding the Prophet's Mosque, Quba Mosque, and Qiblatain Mosque, as well as the Haramain High-Speed ​​Railway station, which experiences high traffic. The inspections also extend to major markets, shopping centers, gold and jewelry markets, and commercial establishments located on the main roads leading to the Prophet's Mosque, with the aim of verifying all establishments' compliance with regulations and instructions, monitoring prices, and preventing any irregular commercial practices that could negatively impact the pilgrims' experience.

These intensive efforts reflect the Saudi Arabian government's commitment to providing the utmost comfort and peace of mind to pilgrims.
