This collaboration reflects the commitment of all stakeholders to enhancing quality of life and implementing the highest standards of road safety.
Strategic context and importance of the campaign
The “Safe and Distinguished Roads” campaign comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to achieve the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, stemming from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This strategy aims to place the Kingdom in sixth place globally in the road quality index, with a primary focus on reducing traffic accident fatality rates.
These campaigns are of paramount importance given the vital role played by the Kingdom’s road network, which is one of the largest in the world, in connecting cities and provinces, facilitating trade and logistics, and serving pilgrims and tourists, making the preservation of its quality and safety a top national priority.
Call for community participation
The Public Roads Authority renewed its call to all citizens and residents to actively contribute to the success of the campaign by reporting any visual obstructions or distortions, photographing them, and submitting them via the 938 app or by contacting the unified call center (938). The Authority confirmed the readiness of its qualified teams to receive reports and provide the necessary support, emphasizing its commitment to addressing observations and removing obstacles for road users to ensure safe and comfortable travel for all.
