Rodgers praises Al-Qadisiyah's progress ahead of their match against Al-Taawon in the Roshan League

Irishman Brendan Rodgers, head coach of Al-Qadisiyah's first football team, expressed his great optimism and satisfaction with the recent technical and physical development of the team, ahead of their anticipated match against Al-Taawoun. These statements come as Al-Qadisiyah seeks to solidify its position in the Saudi Professional League, which is witnessing unprecedented competition this season.

Remarkable development and technical stability

Speaking to the media before the match, Rodgers indicated that the hard work put in by the coaching staff and players over the past few months was beginning to bear fruit. The Irish manager said: “After several months of working together and playing 14 competitive matches, I’m very pleased with the upward trajectory of the team’s performance. We’re moving in the right direction, and we’ll continue to improve, but the most important thing is to maintain our mental balance, not get carried away or preoccupied with other teams’ results. Our focus must be entirely on developing our own performance.”.

The context of the competition and the importance of the meeting

The match between Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Taawoun is of particular importance, as Al-Qadisiyah seeks to capitalize on home advantage and the support of its fans to improve its position in the league standings. Al-Qadisiyah is one of the historic clubs in the Eastern Province, and its supporters eagerly await the team's return to strong competition with the league's top teams, especially given the significant progress Saudi sports are making and the substantial support provided to clubs. The match against Al-Taawoun will be a true test of the team's strength, considering the opponent's tactical organization and talented players, which have made them a formidable force in the league.

Field preparations for the confrontation

On the field, the team concluded its preparations at the club's stadium in Al-Khobar, in preparation for the match that will be held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam as part of the 24th round of competition. Rodgers explained that the technical staff is conducting a thorough review of previous matches to identify weaknesses and strengths, adding: "The players have shown a great response to the technical instructions, and there is a deep understanding of the style of play that we want to implement. However, we still have room for improvement, especially since we are still at the beginning of our joint project.".

The final training session included various warm-up exercises, before the coaching staff imposed a tactical maneuver in the middle of the field, during which they focused on implementing the technical phrases to be executed in the match, amidst high morale from the players and a fierce desire to win the three points and make the Al-Quds fans happy.
