Eid al-Adha: A religious ritual and a symbol of human generosity

Eid al-Adha is one of the most important holidays in Islam, commemorating the story of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail in obedience to God's command. The sacrifice is a central ritual of this holiday, involving the slaughter of livestock and the distribution of its meat to family, relatives, the poor, and those in need. This makes it an occasion that embodies the highest ideals of giving, compassion, and solidarity within the community. In this context, charitable organizations play a pivotal role in organizing this ritual to ensure that the meat reaches those who deserve it in the best possible way, thus fulfilling the religious and social objectives of this great occasion.

Organized efforts to ensure that sacrificial animals reach those who deserve them

The distribution operations at the “Saada” Association began on the morning of the first day of Eid and continued until the fourth day, according to a well-organized and structured plan. A dedicated team of 75 male and female volunteers participated in this campaign, working diligently to organize and monitor the distribution process on the ground. This ensured that the sacrificial meat reached deserving families on time and according to the highest standards of quality and hygiene, reflecting the efficiency of both volunteer and institutional work in serving the local community.

“Saada” embodies the trust of benefactors in the distribution of sacrificial animals

In this context, the association's executive director, Maher Al-Dawood, affirmed that the success of the sacrificial meat distribution reflects the great trust that benefactors and donors place in the association and its active role in delivering their donations to those who deserve them. He pointed out that this trust represents a great responsibility that "Saada" is keen to fulfill by applying the highest standards of governance and transparency in all its programs. Al-Dawood added that the achieved figures reflect the continued spirit of giving among members of the community and their keenness to revive this blessed ritual through trusted channels that ensure its delivery to those who deserve it.

The program's impact extends beyond simply providing food during the Eid holidays; it also contributes to enhancing food security for beneficiary families and alleviating their financial burdens. Furthermore, such a program upholds human dignity and strengthens the values of solidarity and social cohesion, aligning with the goals of social development and the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to build a vibrant and interconnected society. These initiatives solidify a culture of giving and underscore the vital role of the non-profit sector as a key partner in sustainable development.
