Results of the "Safe and Excellent Roads" campaign: 997 observations recorded, and Riyadh continues its work

The General Authority for Roads continues its intensive efforts as part of the "Distinguished and Safe Roads" campaign, now in its sixth consecutive year. This campaign is a culmination of fruitful cooperation between various governmental and service sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Authority announced the results of the fourth day of the campaign, revealing that 997 technical and engineering observations were recorded on road networks outside urban areas, reflecting its ongoing commitment to raising safety and maintenance standards in accordance with international best practices.

Strategic partnership to enhance quality of life

This campaign holds significant strategic importance as it aligns with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy , stemming from the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to position Saudi Arabia among the world's leading nations in road quality and safety. This year's campaign involves over 620 members , forming a national coalition that includes personnel from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Saudi university students gaining valuable field experience, members of the Special Forces for Road Security, and representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. These personnel are distributed across 61 field teams covering the Kingdom's vast and diverse regions.

Details of field monitoring in the regions

Official statistics for the fourth day showed variations in the number of observations recorded, reflecting the survey's accuracy and comprehensiveness. The most notable figures were as follows:

  • Madinah region: The highest number of observations were recorded on this day, with 224 observations.
  • Makkah Region: 150 observations were recorded.
  • Riyadh region: The capital's teams continued their tireless work, recording 143 observations.
  • Al-Jawf region: 97 observations.
  • Hail region: 92 observations.
  • Tabuk region: 79 observations.
  • Eastern Region: 49 observations.

The survey also included other regions, with 34 observations recorded in the Northern Borders, 32 in Najran, 28 in Al-Baha, 26 in Asir, 23 in Al-Qassim, and finally 20 observations in the Jazan region.

Call for community participation

Believing that safety is a shared responsibility, the Public Roads Authority renewed its call to all citizens and residents to actively contribute to the success of this campaign. The Authority urged everyone to report any observations or visual distortions that may affect road users' safety through official channels, specifically via the 938 application or by contacting the reporting center at the same number. This center is staffed by a specialized team qualified to provide immediate support, ensuring that reports are addressed quickly and efficiently, thus achieving a safe and comfortable travel environment for all.
