Sanad Al-Ahsa: A strategic plan to deepen sustainable community impact
In a pivotal step aimed at establishing a structured institutional framework, the General Assembly of the Sanad Association for Social Responsibility in Al-Ahsa approved its first strategic plan. This plan represents a clear roadmap for deepening community impact and achieving sustainability in one of the most prominent governorates of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The approval, which took place during the association's second meeting of 2024, marks the beginning of a new phase of growth and development for the association, aligning with the comprehensive development aspirations of the region and the Kingdom.
This step comes within the context of a transformative shift in Saudi Arabia's non-profit sector, which is considered a cornerstone in achieving the goals of Vision 2030. The Vision aims to increase the non-profit sector's contribution to the GDP and enhance its role in addressing social and economic challenges. Therefore, the strategic plan of the Sanad Al-Ahsa Association is of particular importance, as it not only serves the association's objectives but also contributes directly to realizing this ambitious national vision by building an effective institutional model capable of creating positive and sustainable change.
Strategic pillars for a promising future
The strategic plan, developed with the support of the Sustainability Experts Endowment, is based on four integrated development pillars, carefully designed to cover all aspects of institutional work and ensure the efficient achievement of its objectives. These pillars include enhancing community impact through the design and implementation of high-quality programs that meet the needs of the local community in Al-Ahsa; ensuring financial sustainability by diversifying income sources and developing endowments; building a broad network of strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors; and finally, achieving operational excellence by developing administrative systems and improving performance efficiency.
Community impact: from planning to implementation
Dr. Mohammed Al-Eid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sanad Association, affirmed that the adoption of this strategic document represents a vital starting point for fulfilling the association's developmental aspirations. He commended the significant support provided by the members of the General Assembly, which played a prominent role in driving its success. He indicated that this plan will enable the Board of Directors to implement innovative initiatives and programs that will leave a clear mark on the community.
The implementation of this strategy is expected to have a positive impact on Al-Ahsa Governorate on several levels. Locally, it will contribute to developing sustainable solutions to social challenges, providing new opportunities for youth, and fostering a culture of social responsibility among individuals and institutions. Nationally, the success of the “Sanad Al-Ahsa” model will serve as an inspiration to other associations across the Kingdom, supporting the maturation and development of the entire non-profit sector and making it an active partner in the national development process.
