Integrated services for Yemeni pilgrims at Al-Wadi'ah border crossing: robots and vaccinations
Integrated Saudi efforts to serve the guests of God
As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to serve pilgrims, His Royal Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Governor of Najran Region, inspected today the operations and services provided to pilgrims arriving from the Republic of Yemen via the Al-Wadi'ah border crossing. This inspection tour aimed to assess the readiness of all government sectors operating at the crossing and ensure a smooth and convenient experience for pilgrims from the moment they arrive in the Kingdom.
Advanced health and technology services for receiving pilgrims
During his tour, His Highness listened to a detailed explanation from the Director General of the Ministry of Health branch in the region, Dr. Ibrahim Bani Hamim, about the integrated health services provided at the health monitoring center. These services include providing the necessary vaccinations to ensure the safety of pilgrims, distributing awareness and guidance brochures containing important health information for the Hajj season, and offering symbolic gifts. For the first time, modern technology was employed through an interactive robot that answers pilgrims' inquiries and provides them with information in an innovative way, reflecting the development witnessed in the Kingdom's Hajj services system.
Simplifying procedures and expediting crossings
The Governor of Najran was also briefed on the procedures implemented by the General Directorate of Passports at the Hajj terminal in the port. The Acting Director General of Passports, Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba, explained the mechanisms in place to facilitate the passage of pilgrims and expedite their entry procedures smoothly and efficiently. In the same context, His Highness inspected the work of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, which utilizes the latest technologies to inspect buses and vehicles and ensure their safety and security. He also reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah at the port to guide and advise pilgrims.
The importance of Al-Wadi'ah border crossing as a main gateway for Hajj
The Al-Wadi'ah border crossing is a vital artery and the main land crossing point for pilgrims coming from Yemen. The Kingdom's government is deeply committed to developing this crossing and equipping it to the highest standards to ensure its capacity to accommodate the large numbers of pilgrims arriving annually. These efforts are doubly important given the situation in Yemen, as the Kingdom seeks to alleviate any hardships that pilgrims may face and provide them with a safe and comfortable environment to begin their spiritual journey. These comprehensive services not only reflect Saudi Arabia's renowned hospitality but also underscore the Kingdom's pivotal role as a leader of the Islamic world and its historical responsibility for the care of the Two Holy Mosques and serving their visitors from all corners of the globe.
At the conclusion of the tour, Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz met with a number of Yemeni pilgrims, emphasizing the directives of the wise leadership to dedicate all resources to serving them and facilitating their affairs, and wishing them a blessed Hajj and accepted pilgrimage. His Highness was accompanied on the tour by the Acting Deputy Governor of Najran, Maher bin Saleh Al-Mounis, and the Governor of Sharurah, Muwaffaq bin Abdulhadi Al-Anzi.
