This firm condemnation comes amidst escalating tensions in occupied Jerusalem, which threaten serious repercussions for security and stability throughout the region.

The latest of these violations was the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by an official in the Israeli occupation government, under heavy guard and direct protection from the occupation police. The provocations did not stop there; another Israeli official raised the occupation authorities' flag within the courtyards of the Noble Sanctuary, a move that constitutes a blatant challenge to the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide and a clear violation of the sanctity of the holy site, which represents the first Qibla and the third holiest site in Islam.

In this context, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in its statement, emphasized the Kingdom's categorical rejection of anything that would prejudice the historical and legal status quo in the city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
