Saudi Arabia participates in drafting the AI Safety Report 2026

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to solidify its international standing in the technology and data sector. Represented by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) , the Kingdom participated in the preparation of the "Global AI Safety Report 2026" for the second consecutive year. This step underscores the Kingdom's leading role in shaping the future of emerging technologies and its ongoing efforts to promote responsible innovation and build a secure and sustainable global technology ecosystem.
Extending the "Bletchley Park" summit and unified global efforts
This report is one of the key strategic outcomes of the inaugural AI Safety Summit held at Bletchley Park, UK, in 2023, which established a new phase of international collaboration to address technological challenges. The upcoming 2026 edition of the report aims to provide a rigorous and comprehensive scientific assessment of the rapid advancements in AI systems, focusing on analyzing potential risks and proactively mitigating them.
The report's significance stems from its status as a global reference document for decision-makers. It is prepared by a select group of leading international scientists and experts, as well as technology governance specialists from prestigious universities and research centers. The drafting committee includes representatives from over 30 countries and major international organizations, including the United Nations, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the European Union, thus lending the report international consensus and scientific credibility.
