The center also warned of the possibility of fog formation during the night and early morning hours in the southern parts of the Eastern Province, which may somewhat impede visibility.

Regarding the maritime situation, the center indicated the following details:

  • Red Sea: Surface winds are variable, ranging from northeasterly to northwesterly in the northern and central parts, and from southeasterly to southerly in the southern part, with speeds between 20-40 km/h. Wave heights range from one to two meters, with sea conditions ranging from slight to moderate.
  • Arabian Gulf: Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 15-30 km/h, gusting up to 45 km/h with the formation of thunderstorms, particularly in the southern part. Wave height will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, and may reach two meters in the presence of thunderstorms, making the sea occasionally rough.

Special alerts for the Riyadh region

The National Center for Meteorology issued a special alert for the Riyadh , warning of strong winds and blowing dust that will reduce visibility. This alert covers the areas of Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Rayn, Al-Quway'iyah, and Afif . These weather conditions are expected to begin at 9:00 AM and continue until 6:00 PM, with wind speeds reaching between 40 and 49 kilometers per hour. Drivers are advised to exercise caution while driving in open areas.
