Al-Haqil and Al-Rumaihi discuss housing cooperation at the Future Real Estate Forum
In a move reflecting the deep fraternal relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Real Estate, met with Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This fruitful meeting took place on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the "Future Real Estate Forum," held in Riyadh from January 26 to 28, with broad regional and international participation.
Enhancing cooperation and exchanging housing expertise
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the housing and urban planning sectors, emphasizing the importance of exchanging technical and administrative expertise to serve their mutual interests. The discussion also touched upon the latest global practices in urban development and how to utilize modern technologies in developing housing projects to ensure their sustainability and improve the quality of life for citizens in both countries.
Future Real Estate Forum: A Platform for Innovation
This meeting coincides with the launch of the fifth edition of the Future Real Estate Forum, a vital platform that brings together real estate leaders, experts, and investors from around the world. The forum aims to discuss current challenges and anticipate the future of real estate, with a focus on innovation and digital transformation in this vital sector. The presence of Gulf leaders at this event provides an opportunity to unify visions on pressing housing issues in the region.
Alignment of strategic visions (2030)
This cooperation is particularly important given the alignment of the two countries' development visions. Both Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 aim to increase homeownership rates and provide diverse and affordable housing solutions. The Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is working to achieve the objectives of its housing program by increasing the number of housing units and developing the legislative and regulatory environment for the sector, which aligns with Bahrain's similar efforts to provide suitable housing.
The depth of Saudi-Bahraini relations
It is worth noting that Saudi-Bahraini relations are characterized by a unique historical relationship and strong ties across all levels, bolstered by the wise leadership of both countries. The Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council is one of the most important channels for framing this cooperation and propelling it towards broader horizons, particularly in the economic, developmental, and infrastructure sectors, thereby strengthening Gulf economic integration and achieving prosperity for the two brotherly nations.
