Saudi Foreign Minister discusses regional developments with Türkiye and Pakistan

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, held intensive telephone conversations with his counterparts in both the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as part of the ongoing diplomatic efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to promote regional stability and coordinate positions on current issues.
During a telephone call with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, His Highness discussed the latest developments in the region, as well as the growing bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them across various fields. These discussions represent a continuation of a new phase of strategic cooperation between Riyadh and Ankara, which has witnessed a marked rapprochement and high-level reciprocal visits in recent years. This reflects the desire of both sides to unify their perspectives on complex issues in the Middle East, particularly regarding the humanitarian and political situation in Palestine and efforts to de-escalate tensions.
In a related context, the Saudi Foreign Minister discussed with His Excellency Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, regional and international developments of mutual interest. Saudi-Pakistani relations are considered a model of deep-rooted historical ties that transcend traditional diplomatic dimensions to form a profound strategic partnership based on strong religious, cultural, and economic bonds. The call emphasized the importance of joint coordination in international forums, particularly the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to address the challenges facing the Muslim world.
These contacts are of paramount importance at this time, given the prevailing tension and uncertainty in the regional landscape. Saudi diplomacy, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, seeks to play a pivotal role in de-escalating conflicts and promoting dialogue, leveraging its political and economic weight and its spiritual standing. Experts emphasize that coordination among major regional powers such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan is a cornerstone for maintaining international peace and security, as these countries possess the capacity to influence events and formulate sustainable solutions to crises.
In conclusion, these telephone consultations reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to its steadfast approach of continuous communication with brothers and friends, to ensure the formulation of unified positions that serve the interests of the people and drive development and stability in the region, away from political tensions that may hinder the path of progress.
