His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed with his counterparts in the Republic of South Korea and the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations in various fields, in addition to discussing the most prominent developments on the regional and international arenas.
Strengthening the strategic partnership with South Korea
The Saudi-Korean talks hold particular strategic importance given the deep historical ties between Riyadh and Seoul, which have evolved into a model of successful partnerships in Asia. The two countries are working closely and continuously to align the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 with Korea’s development plans, particularly in vital sectors such as conventional and renewable energy, smart infrastructure, digital transformation, and defense industries.
South Korea is a major trading partner of the Kingdom, with both sides constantly seeking to explore promising investment opportunities that benefit the people of both countries, as well as ongoing coordination to ensure the stability of global energy supplies, reflecting the economic weight that the two countries represent in the G20.
Strengthening cooperation with Brunei Darussalam
Regarding relations with the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, discussions focused on strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and joint cooperation.
