The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to achieve global milestones in scientific research and medical innovation, with Health Holding Company an exceptional international achievement that adds to the nation's impressive record of success. This accomplishment was represented by winning 12 diverse international medals during its active participation in the 51st Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, held in Switzerland from March 11 to 15.

The Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions is one of the oldest and most important global exhibitions dedicated to innovation. Founded in the 1970s, it has become a global platform that brings together thousands of inventors and innovators from around the world. The event's significance stems from its role as an international forum for exchanging expertise and showcasing the latest technologies that serve humanity. The Kingdom's participation reflects its commitment to scientific and technological advancement and its ongoing support for national talent.
Saudi talent shines with gold
Saudi Arabia's participation was the largest and most significant for the healthcare sector at this international event, with 13 innovative projects presented by nine healthcare clusters affiliated with the Health Holding Company. The awards included three gold medals, five silver medals, and four bronze medals.
In the gold medal category, the Hail Health Cluster won gold thanks to Dr. Ahmed Al-Mulaq's innovation: an advanced smart system for infection control and monitoring. Faisal Al-Ruqi from the Taif Health Cluster also won a gold medal for his invention of a surgical instrument that combines electrocautery and cutting without the need to change instruments. Zahraa Qaisi from the First Jeddah Health Cluster received the third gold medal for designing a Saudi-made automated medication dispensing system that ensures accurate dosages and protects patients from potential complications.
Silver and bronze medal haul
As for the silver medals, they were awarded to Sand Al-Anzi from the Qassim Health Cluster for his invention of a smart sensor for monitoring swimming pools, and to Mohammed Al-Asiri and Mutaib Al-Sahafi from the Baha Health Cluster for their invention that prevents blockages in intensive care unit tubes. Fahd Al-Anzi from the Northern Borders Health Cluster won for his “Yaqaz” emergency system, Fatima Al-Zahra Banaz from the First Jeddah Health Cluster for her device for removing foreign objects from the nose and ear, and Suwailim Al-Qahtani from Health Holding for his proactive temperature monitoring system.
The bronze medals went to a select group of medical professionals: Dr. Shatha Al-Lafi from Najran, Ibrahim Al-Quwaizani from Riyadh, Naif Al-Anzi from Qassim, and Ibrahim Al-Sumaili from Jazan, in recognition of their outstanding medical innovations that provide practical solutions to health challenges.
