Saudi Interior Minister offers condolences to Kuwait for the martyrs of the border security forces
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Minister of Interior, made a telephone call today to His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait. This call came within the framework of the deep fraternal ties that bind the two countries. His Highness expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the martyrdom of two members of the General Directorate of Land Border Security of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, following the blatant Iranian aggression against the State of Kuwait. He prayed to God Almighty to have mercy on the martyrs, grant them eternal peace in Paradise, and give their families patience and solace.
During the call, His Highness the Minister of Interior reaffirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's unwavering support for the State of Kuwait under all circumstances, emphasizing the Kingdom's solidarity with its sister nation, Kuwait, in confronting any threat to its sovereignty, security, or stability. His Highness clearly stated that Kuwait's security is an integral part of the Kingdom's security, and that any threat to Kuwait's stability is a direct threat to Saudi Arabia's security, reflecting the shared security doctrine adopted by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
In a related context, this expression of condolence and sympathy underscores the depth of the historical and strategic relations that bind Riyadh and Kuwait, relations that transcend the boundaries of traditional diplomacy to reach the level of a vital partnership. The security coordination between the two countries serves as a model for the region, with the interior ministries of both nations operating as a unified system, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership of the two brotherly countries. This strengthens their ability to confront regional challenges, protect their shared borders, and combat all forms of aggression.
This incident underscores the critical need for continued vigilance and close security cooperation in the region, as Saudi-Kuwaiti solidarity is a cornerstone of stability in the Arabian Gulf. Experts and observers affirm that the swift communication between security leaders of the two countries reflects their high level of preparedness and ongoing coordination to address any emergency. This sends a strong and clear message to anyone contemplating tampering with Gulf security: the GCC states stand united and resolute against foreign ambitions and interference.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud concluded his call by emphasizing that the injury is one and the same, and that the Kingdom is putting all its security capabilities at the service of its brothers in Kuwait, in embodiment of the spirit of brotherhood and common destiny that has united the two peoples and the two leaderships for many decades.
