This important meeting reflects the mutual and ongoing commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordinating political positions on various regional and international issues of common interest to the two brotherly countries.

The depth of Saudi-Jordanian relations and ongoing coordination

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan share close historical and strategic relations, based on ties of religion, language, neighborliness, and a common destiny. During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed, along with opportunities for their development in all fields, in order to strengthen them in accordance with the directives of the leadership of both brotherly nations. The two leaderships are working diligently to enhance these ties in a way that serves the interests of both peoples and contributes to achieving development and prosperity. Saudi-Jordanian coordination is considered a fundamental pillar for ensuring the stability of the Arab region, especially in light of current geopolitical challenges that necessitate unified visions and efforts.

Discussing the latest regional developments and addressing interventions

During the talks, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the region, strongly emphasizing the solidarity of the two kingdoms in confronting Iranian aggression against them and several other Arab states. The two ministers expressed their categorical rejection of these practices, which constitute a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness. Historically, Saudi Arabia and Jordan have consistently called for respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs, stressing their support for all measures that guarantee the protection of state sovereignty and security in accordance with international laws and conventions, in order to ensure the stability of the Middle East and safeguard the well-being of its people.

The crisis in Gaza and developments in the Syrian conflict

Regarding the Palestinian cause, which is the central issue for the Arab and Islamic nations, the need for an immediate halt to ongoing Israeli violations was emphasized. Both sides stressed the importance of ensuring the safe and sustained delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to the besieged Gaza Strip to alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people. This stance is a continuation of Saudi and Jordanian diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving security and stability, reducing escalating tensions in the region, and advancing a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
