Saudi Arabia launches the 6th National Campaign for Charitable Work through Ihsan

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launched the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work through the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ihsan), as part of the wise leadership’s continuous efforts to promote the values of giving and social solidarity, and to develop the charitable work system in the Kingdom to be more efficient and reliable.

Supporting leadership and the journey of giving

This campaign is an extension of the great attention given by the Saudi leadership, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to supporting charitable work. It has become customary for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to initiate these campaigns with generous donations, which serves as a strong incentive for all members of society and institutions to contribute to this national charitable movement.

Ihsan Platform: A qualitative leap in charitable work

The "Ihsan" platform, overseen by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is a pioneering model in harnessing technology to serve humanity. Since its inception, the platform has successfully promoted the values of transparency and reliability, allowing donors to easily choose the areas they wish to support, whether health, education, social, or relief-related, while ensuring that donations reach their intended beneficiaries with the highest governance standards.

Strategic objectives and their societal impact

The sixth edition of the campaign aims to maximize the impact of the non-profit sector and activate the role of social responsibility within the private sector and among individuals. The campaign works to meet the needs of the most deserving groups, alleviate the hardship of those in financial distress, provide healthcare for patients in need, and support sustainable development projects that move beneficiaries from a state of dependency to one of productivity.

Charitable work and the Kingdom's Vision 2030

The launch of this campaign aligns directly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase the contribution of the non-profit sector to the GDP and achieve a vibrant and cohesive society. Previous campaigns have contributed to record-breaking donation volumes, reflecting the growing public awareness and inherent spirit of initiative within Saudi society.

The campaign calls on all benefactors, including individuals, government and private entities, and the non-profit sector, to actively participate in this edition, investing in opportunities for good and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and national cohesion.
