The Saudi leadership offers condolences to the King of Morocco for the victims of the Fez incident

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to his brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco, following the tragic news of the collapse of two adjacent buildings in the city of Fez, and the resulting deaths and injuries.

In his telegram, the King expressed his deepest sympathy and solidarity, saying: “We have learned of the collapse of two adjacent buildings in the city of Fez in the Kingdom of Morocco, and the resulting deaths and injuries. We extend to Your Majesty, the families of the deceased, and the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Morocco our most sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy. We ask Almighty God to have mercy on the deceased and grant their families patience and solace, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to protect you and the people of the Kingdom of Morocco from all harm and evil. He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.”.

In the same vein, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent a similar cable of condolences to His Majesty King Mohammed VI. His Royal Highness expressed his profound sorrow over this tragedy, saying: “I received the news of the collapse of two adjacent buildings in the city of Fez in the Kingdom of Morocco, and the resulting deaths and injuries. I extend to Your Majesty and to all the families of the deceased my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, praying to God Almighty for mercy upon the deceased and a speedy recovery for all the injured. He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.”.

These messages come within the framework of the deep-rooted and historic fraternal relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Morocco, as the Saudi leadership is always keen to stand by its brothers in Morocco in various circumstances and crises.
