In his telegram, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the leadership and people of Oman, saying: “We have learned of the death of His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said - may God have mercy on him - and as we send to Your Majesty, the brotherly people of the Sultanate of Oman, and the family of the deceased our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, we ask God Almighty to have mercy on him and forgive him, and to grant him a spacious place in Paradise, and to protect you from all harm. Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return .

Telegram from His Highness the Crown Prince

For his part, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent a similar cable expressing his sincere condolences and affirming the Kingdom's solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman in this profound loss. His Highness said: “I received the news of the passing of His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said – may God have mercy on him – and I extend to Your Majesty and the family of the deceased my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, asking Almighty God to grant him His abundant mercy and forgiveness, to admit him to His spacious Paradise, and to protect you from all harm. His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said was one of the most prominent and experienced political and leadership figures in the Sultanate of Oman and the Arabian Gulf region. He served as Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs for many decades and played a pivotal role in the modern Omani renaissance, the foundations of which were laid by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may God have mercy on him.
