Saudi Arabia and the Maldives discuss strengthening relations and regional developments

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's active diplomatic efforts and in affirmation of its leading role in strengthening Islamic solidarity, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, met today with His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel. This important meeting took place in Jeddah, which is currently hosting the extraordinary meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), dedicated to discussing the current developments in the Federal Republic of Somalia and supporting its sovereignty.
