
Media regulator summons violators of content that threatens Saudi national security

The Authority confirmed in its statement that these measures are based on paragraph (12) of Article Five of the Audiovisual Media Law, which explicitly states “the prohibition of publishing anything that could disrupt public order, national security, or the requirements of the public interest.” It emphasized that it has referred all observed violations to the relevant committees for review and the issuance of necessary decisions, and affirmed that it will not tolerate any violations and will apply the legal procedures against those who publish them.
