The Saudi Media Forum kicks off; details of the Ministry of Media's participation

The fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum , the most prominent event in the Arab media landscape, kicks off today under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The forum, which runs from February 2nd to 4th, features extensive participation from the Ministry of Media through an innovative space called “Media Bridge,” under the theme “Media in a Changing World.”
The importance of the forum in the context of Vision 2030
The Saudi Media Forum is being held at a time when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is undergoing radical transformations in the media sector, in line with the goals of Vision 2030 , which aims to make Riyadh a regional and global media hub. This event serves as a strategic platform, bringing together thought leaders, content creators, and experts from around the world to discuss the challenges facing the media industry, the impact of artificial intelligence, and the future of digital media. This edition is particularly significant as it focuses on strengthening the Kingdom's soft power and showcasing its cultural and civilizational identity to the world.
"Media Bridge": A Journey Towards the Future
The Ministry of Media is participating with the “Media Bridge” space within the “Boulevard 2030” area. This space is designed as an interactive platform showcasing the media sector’s most prominent initiatives and transformative projects. The bridge is more than just a traditional exhibition; it takes visitors on an exploratory journey, transforming theoretical ideas into practical applications and digital innovations into tangible realities that reflect the rapid development of the national media infrastructure.
Knowledge experiences and specialized workshops
The bridge includes several key areas, most notably the “Knowledge Bridge” space, which offers an intensive educational experience. Visitors will be able to attend specialized workshops led by a select group of experts. Media personality Fatima Fahad will present a workshop titled “How to Shine on Stage?” while Malik Al-Ruqi, Director General of the Cultural Channel, will explore the secrets of digital influence in the workshop “Your Digital Account as a Media Tool.” These workshops culminate in participants receiving accredited certificates from the Saudi Academy for Media, enhancing their professional skills.
Realistic simulation and direct consultations
To enhance the practical aspect, the “Ask the Media” space offers visitors a unique opportunity to interact directly with prominent media figures, such as the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Media, Abdulrahman Majrashi, and the General Supervisor of the International Media Relations Agency, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Omari, to obtain expert professional advice. In a unique experience, the “On Air” space places visitors at the heart of the action through a realistic performance experience of the roles of a news anchor, podcast host, and official spokesperson, with the experience documented on video for visitors.
Enhancing national knowledge through “Saudipedia”
As part of its efforts to promote reliable national content, the “Saudipedia” corner offers an interactive experience that tests visitors' knowledge of the Kingdom's history and culture, based on the content of the national encyclopedia “Saudipedia,” the primary source of information about the Kingdom. This initiative aims to build effective communication channels between official institutions and the public, and to open new avenues for partnerships that contribute to the sector's development.
