Saudi Post launches Hajj and Traveler Without Luggage services
The Saudi Post Corporation continues its leadership in providing innovative logistics solutions, announcing the strengthening of its pivotal role in supporting the Hajj and Umrah system. This strategic step comes with the launch of the "Hajj Without Luggage" and "Traveler Without Luggage" services during the 1447 AH Hajj season. This transformation aims to enhance the experience of pilgrims and facilitate their movement, perfectly aligned with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the Guests of God Service Program, which seeks to bring about a qualitative leap in the services provided to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
Historical context and the importance of logistical transformation in Hajj
Historically, baggage management and transportation have been among the most significant challenges facing both pilgrims and organizers. This has led to airport congestion, delays in pilgrims reaching their accommodations, and arduous physical exertion that can hinder the performance of rituals. Hence, the critical importance of these modern initiatives. Locally, these services contribute to alleviating congestion at ports and airports and facilitate crowd management in the holy sites. Regionally and internationally, they reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing the highest quality services to millions of Muslims arriving from around the world, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as a global model for managing mass events and providing advanced logistical solutions.
“Hajj without luggage” service for domestic pilgrims
The Saudi Post's "Subul" service offers dedicated pathways to meet the needs of pilgrims, targeting domestic pilgrims within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its "Hajj Without Luggage" service. This service allows pilgrims to drop off their luggage at any of the Saudi Post's "Subul" branches located throughout the Kingdom's cities and regions. The organization then handles the safe and reliable transport of this luggage, delivering it directly to the pilgrims' accommodations in Mecca, Medina, and the Holy Sites. This procedure ensures a smooth and convenient Hajj journey, allowing pilgrims to fully dedicate themselves to performing the rituals with peace of mind and without the burden of luggage.
“No Luggage Traveler” Service for International Pilgrims
In a related context, “Subul” offers the “Lock-Free Traveler” service, specifically designed for pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom. This service begins from the moment the pilgrim arrives, with their luggage being collected directly from the baggage carousels in the international terminals, specifically at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. The luggage is then transported directly to the pilgrim's accommodation. The service is not limited to the arrival journey but also includes the departure journey, where luggage is collected from the hotel and shipped to the airport, providing a seamless and comprehensive travel experience from start to finish.
Huge operational capabilities and an advanced logistics fleet
To ensure the highest quality service standards, Saudi Post has deployed a comprehensive operational network. This network relies on a highly skilled workforce of over 565 qualified and trained employees working around the clock during the Hajj season. These personnel are further supported by a substantial logistics fleet comprising more than 100 main transport trucks, in addition to 65 vehicles dedicated to last-mile delivery services. These preparations aim to enhance operational readiness and guarantee the speed and efficiency of logistics services during peak times.
Strategic partnerships to serve the guests of God
These efforts embody the role of the Saudi Post Corporation (“Subul”) as a leading national operator and a key enabler of logistics and geospatial services. These achievements are realized through building effective and fruitful partnerships with various government agencies and private sector institutions operating within the Hajj system. This national integration not only improves the quality of services provided to pilgrims but also solidifies “Subul’s” position as an indispensable strategic partner in ensuring the success of major national events and developing the Hajj and Umrah logistics sector according to the highest international standards.
