The Saudi Referees Association reviews its technical system with the Swimming Federation

As part of ongoing efforts to develop the sports sector and keep pace with the latest global technologies, the Saudi Referees Association an important strategic meeting with the Saudi Swimming Federation. The meeting was chaired by Marai Al-Awaji, President of the Association, and attended by Waleed Asiri, Head of the Referees Committee at the Swimming Federation, and Abdullah Al-Nassar, CEO of the Association, to discuss ways to achieve technical integration and develop mechanisms for joint work.

Review of the new technical system

The meeting included a detailed presentation by the League's IT Director, Mohammed Mansour, on the new technical system and its operational mechanism. The presentation highlighted the platform's key features, which are designed as a comprehensive digital system serving sports federations. This platform allows federations to access a comprehensive database containing the regulations and rules of various sports, club data, and direct links to competitions, thus facilitating the professional management of sporting events.

Enhancing governance and digital transformation in Saudi sports

This move is in line with the general direction of sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is witnessing a major shift towards automation and digital transformation in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The new system aims to achieve the standards of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, by providing accurate reports on referees’ participation and evaluating their performance in tournaments periodically and transparently.

In this context, Marai Al-Awaji emphasized that this system represents a crucial organizational step that supports refereeing through a comprehensive digital platform. He pointed out that this initiative directly contributes to strengthening governance within the sports system, ensuring data accuracy and rapid access, and enhancing the efficiency of administrative and technical work.

The importance of integration between sports federations

This system's role extends beyond the technical aspects, encompassing the standardization of criteria and the improvement of refereeing performance across various sports, including swimming. Al-Awaji explained that the platform will contribute to accelerating information exchange and enhancing overall performance efficiency.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to coordinate joint work between the Saudi Association of Referees and the Saudi Swimming Federation to follow up on developments and complete the project implementation phases, reflecting the commitment of both parties to developing a professional sports environment that relies on modern technology to serve Saudi sports.
