Saudi Arabia weather: Winds and dust in Al-Jawf, and rain in the Eastern Province

The National Center for Meteorology in Saudi Arabia issued weather , warning of unstable weather conditions affecting several regions, most notably Al-Jawf and the Eastern Province. These alerts are part of the ongoing monitoring of weather conditions to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

Weather details in Al-Jawf region

The center explained in its daily report that the Al-Jawf region will experience active surface winds stirring up dust and sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility. The warning included the city of Sakaka , in addition to three other major governorates:

  • Dumat al-Jandal
  • Al-Qurayyat
  • Tabarjal

According to the report, this weather condition is expected to begin at 10:00 AM and continue until 7:00 PM on Saturday. The meteorological department warned that horizontal visibility may decrease in these areas to between 1 and 3 kilometers, necessitating caution, especially for those using highways and open roads connecting these governorates.

Rain and fog in the Eastern Province

In conjunction with the dust storm in the north, the National Center of Meteorology issued a yellow alert for the Eastern . Forecasts indicate a possibility of light rain accompanied by active winds and reduced horizontal visibility, in addition to fog formation in the early morning hours.

The weather conditions in the Eastern Province included the following governorates:

  • Qatif
  • Ras Tanura
