Saudis celebrate Bahrain's National Day: A shared destiny and common history

Saudi-Bahraini relations are based on a deep historical legacy spanning decades, established by the forefathers and strengthened by the wise leadership of both countries. In a field survey conducted by Al-Youm newspaper, a number of citizens expressed their heartfelt sentiments on this occasion. Citizen Mutlaq Al-Qahtani that the Saudis' participation with their Bahraini brothers stems from a firm conviction that "the joy is shared," noting that the close relationship between the two kingdoms holds a special sanctity, making solidarity in times of both prosperity and adversity a steadfast principle.

For her part, Aisha Al-Rashidi out that Gulf national occasions are an opportunity to renew popular ties, stressing that Bahrain has an exceptional place in the hearts of Saudis.

Transcending formal frameworks to social integration

Saeed Al-Ghamdi described the relationship as having transcended official frameworks to become a lived reality, noting that the common phrase "Bahrain is part of us" most accurately expresses the fusion between the two societies. Meanwhile, Sarah Mohammed that social cohesion and family unity have transformed the two peoples into a single entity, considering the celebration a reinforcement of security and stability.

Rashid Al-Abdullah also pointed out that the unity between Riyadh and Manama goes beyond blood ties to include language and history, stressing that the Kingdom always opens its arms to its Bahraini brothers.

The security and economic dimensions of the relationship

These celebrations take on added significance in light of regional challenges, as Saudi-Bahraini relations represent a cornerstone of security in the Arabian Gulf region. Close security and military cooperation between the two countries serves as a safeguard against foreign interference and strengthens the stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council as a whole. On the other side, Bahraini citizen Ismail Lotfallah his gratitude and appreciation, affirming that Saudis are "family and loved ones," and that Bahrainis feel no sense of alienation within the Kingdom, which they consider their second home. He considered the exchange of visits during national holidays to be practical proof of the depth of affection, praying to God to perpetuate the blessings of security and prosperity upon the two sister kingdoms.
