A Sudanese pilgrim during Hajj: The Kingdom embraces hearts before bodies

A unique spiritual experience for a Sudanese pilgrim in Mecca

In a scene embodying the highest ideals of spirituality and reverence, Sudanese pilgrim Miraz Mohi El-Din Hassan Mohamed, who came from Khartoum, stood before the Holy Kaaba for the first time in her life, tears of joy and faith streaming down her face. Words failed her to describe the emotions that overwhelmed her as she beheld the Sacred House of God after a long journey of longing and prayer, affirming that these moments made her forget all the worries of the world.

“By God, the moment I learned I would be performing Hajj through this blessed program, I was overwhelmed with emotion,” said Hajja Miraz, her voice filled with emotion. “It was an indescribable feeling, and I thank God for this great blessing.” She added that what she had experienced since arriving in Saudi Arabia had exceeded all her expectations, from the warm welcome to the comprehensive care provided.

The “Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques” initiative: A bridge for Islamic brotherhood

Hajjah Miraz's participation is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. This program is one of the most prominent royal initiatives reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to serving Islam and Muslims worldwide. The program annually hosts thousands of pilgrims from various nationalities, with a focus on prominent Islamic figures, families of martyrs and the wounded, and those with special circumstances from countries facing challenges, thus strengthening the bonds of Islamic brotherhood and reinforcing the values of solidarity.

The importance of Hajj and its place in the hearts of Muslims

Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam, is a once-in-a-lifetime journey that every able-bodied Muslim yearns for. It is not merely a set of rituals, but a global conference of faith where equality and unity are manifested. Muslims from all corners of the earth gather, regardless of color, gender, or social status, united by a single goal: seeking God's pleasure. This profound spiritual experience offers pilgrims the opportunity to draw closer to God, renew their covenant with Him, and return home with a clean slate and a tranquil soul. This is precisely what the Sudanese pilgrim felt, affirming that in such circumstances, one has nothing left but prayer and humility before God Almighty.

Continuous Saudi efforts to serve the guests of God

Hajjah Miraz expressed her profound gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying, “The Kingdom embraces hearts before bodies, and performing Hajj as a guest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is a blessing I will never forget.” Her words reflect the tremendous efforts the Kingdom makes annually to ensure the comfort and safety of millions of pilgrims. All sectors of the government work in seamless coordination to provide a comprehensive system of services, including accommodation, transportation, healthcare, and guidance, utilizing the latest technologies to facilitate the performance of the rituals with ease and peace of mind. In closing, she expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, praying that God protect the Kingdom, its leadership, and its people from all harm.
