The importance of academic achievement tests in university admissions
The Achievement Test (AT) is one of the most important national criteria for admission to Saudi universities, military colleges, and health programs. The test aims to measure a student's achievement in several core science subjects (biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics) during their three years of secondary school. Its significance lies in the fact that it constitutes a large percentage of the weighted average used by universities to rank applicants, making it a pivotal point in students' educational journey.
Test dates and deadlines
The Education Evaluation Authority has set two main periods for holding paper-based tests, to enable students to have two opportunities to improve their grades:
- The first period: It runs from May 13, 2026 to May 17, 2026. (The deadline for early registration for this period is May 14, 2026).
- The second period: It will be held from June 5, 2026 until June 9, 2026. (Registration for this period closes on June 6, 2026).
The authority calls on all male and female students to adhere to the specified dates and to prepare early for the test through reliable sources, in order to ensure they obtain seats in centers close to them and achieve the best results that qualify them to enroll in the specializations they aspire to.
