Registration for student solidarity benefits begins: Excluded categories and eligibility requirements

The Takaful Charitable Foundation in Saudi Arabia announced the start of registration for its student financial aid program for the upcoming academic year, beginning today, Sunday, and continuing until the 24th of Sha'ban. This announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that support reaches those who truly need it, through precise mechanisms that guarantee fairness and efficiency in charitable spending.
Categories excluded from financial support
In an organizational step aimed at preventing duplication of spending and directing resources to the most needy groups, the institution identified three categories that will not be included in the support in the current cycle, namely:
- Students who receive other financial rewards from the Ministry of Education, to ensure that the payment is not repeated for the same beneficiary.
- Third-year high school students, given that the support is intended for the next academic year, in which they will have graduated and moved on to university or the labor market.
- Students who do not possess valid official identification documents issued by the competent official authorities.
Registration mechanism and timeframe
The foundation explained that the registration process relies primarily on school-based support committees, which are responsible for identifying needy students and registering their initial information. Following registration, the parent receives a text message containing a link to complete the application. The foundation emphasized that parents have only five days to complete the online form. If no response is received, the school reserves the right to replace the student with another from the waiting list to ensure the allocated places are fully utilized.
Top priority for the children of fallen soldiers
In recognition of the immense sacrifices made by their fathers in defense of the nation, the new directives emphasize giving the highest priority in registration to the children of fallen soldiers. The institution clarified that registration for this group is not subject to general admission criteria and does not affect the school's allocated quota, reflecting the institution's commitment to its social and national responsibility towards the families of martyrs.
The role of the Takaful Foundation in supporting educational stability
The Takaful Charitable Foundation is a cornerstone of the social support system for students in the Kingdom, with its programs aiming to bridge the financial gap that might hinder students' continued education. These grants are crucial in providing essential school supplies, clothing, and meals, thereby contributing to improved academic performance and reducing school dropout rates due to economic circumstances. This, in turn, supports human capital development in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Technical instructions for school administrations
The foundation noted that the electronic system boasts intelligent features, automatically transferring data for previously enrolled students for updating. It also sends alerts if a student has siblings receiving support, thus assisting school committees in comprehensively assessing the family's economic situation. The foundation mandated that schools with no eligible students must document this via the "Declaration" icon to absolve themselves of responsibility and close the records for the current period.
