Student Takaful registration for 1448 AH: Terms and conditions

The Takaful Charitable Foundation announced this morning, Sunday, that it has begun accepting applications for financial and in-kind support for students in need for the upcoming academic year 1448 AH. This step is part of the foundation's annual strategy to ensure early preparedness and provide the basic requirements for male and female students in various regions of the Kingdom. Registration will continue for three consecutive weeks, closing the online portal at the end of the workday on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

A developmental context and ongoing government support

The Takaful Charitable Foundation is a cornerstone of the social and educational support system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, enjoying generous support from the wise leadership and direct attention from the Ministry of Education. Since its inception, the Foundation has aimed to bridge the economic gap that might hinder the educational progress of some students, based on the principle that education is a right for all and that financial circumstances should not be an obstacle to academic achievement. This focus reflects the state's general direction of investing in human capital as part of its comprehensive national development goals.

Confidential registration mechanism and tripartite partnership

The registration process for the "Takaful" program is characterized by its adoption of strict standards that guarantee complete confidentiality , with the aim of preserving the dignity of beneficiaries and preventing any embarrassment they may face from their peers. Specialized school committees within the participating schools are responsible for collecting and registering the data of nominated students, following procedures that consider the students' psychological and social well-being.

To ensure that support reaches those who deserve it accurately and fairly, the organization relies on an advanced electronic verification portal that connects it to three sovereign and service-oriented governmental entities, namely:

  • Ministry of Education: To provide academic and school data.
  • Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development: To verify the social and financial status of the family.
  • Ministry of Interior: To verify official data and civil records.

Social impact and reducing school dropout

These meticulous measures aim to include needy students in over 16,000 schools across all regions and governorates of the Kingdom. The foundation's role extends beyond direct financial support to include providing in-kind, academic, and educational programs that help reduce the financial disparities between needy students and their more affluent peers within the classroom.

This support directly contributes to raising students' academic achievement and boosting their self-confidence, in addition to its pivotal role in reducing school dropout resulting from financial hardship. For his part, the Secretary-General of the Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Al-Aqili, expressed his appreciation for the ongoing support from the leadership and the follow-up of the Minister of Education, emphasizing that this support enables the Foundation to cultivate effective and successful individuals who will serve their faith and their nation.
