Student Solidarity Benefits Registration: 3 Exclusion Categories and Application Requirements

The Takaful Charitable Foundation in Saudi Arabia has announced the opening of registration for its financial aid programs for male and female students for the upcoming academic year, starting today, Sunday, and continuing until the 24th of Sha'ban. This announcement comes as part of the foundation's ongoing efforts to support needy students in public schools, ensuring their continued education and overcoming any financial obstacles they may face.
To streamline the support process and ensure it reaches those truly in need, the foundation announced significant updates to the eligibility criteria, including the exclusion of three main categories from the beneficiary lists. These excluded categories include students receiving other stipends from the Ministry of Education, to avoid duplication of payments; high school seniors, given their expected graduation at the end of the current academic year and their lack of need for support in the upcoming academic year covered by the program; and students without valid official identification documents.
Registration mechanism and timeframe
The organization has established a precise technical mechanism for the registration process, requiring school administrations to accurately identify students in need within the quotas set for each school. The process begins with the school filling in the student's basic information and identifying the parent/guardian. The system then sends an immediate text message to the parent/guardian's phone. The importance of a rapid response is paramount, as the parent/guardian is given a maximum of five days to complete the online form. If there is no response, the school has the right to replace the student with another from the waiting list to ensure the full utilization of the allocated seats.
Priority for the children of fallen soldiers and support for sustainability
Based on social and national responsibility, the directives emphasized giving the highest priority in registration to the children of fallen soldiers, in recognition of their fathers' sacrifices in defending the homeland. The institution affirmed that including this group does not affect the school's allocated quota nor is it included in the general admissions process, reflecting the institution's commitment to caring for this cherished segment of society.
Background and expected impact
The Takaful Charitable Foundation is a vital pillar of support for the education sector in the Kingdom. Since its inception, it has aimed to bridge the economic gap that may affect the educational progress of students from low-income families. These programs are particularly important in promoting equal educational opportunities and reducing school dropout rates due to financial hardship. The new organizational structure and smart technology integration are expected to enhance the efficiency of charitable spending and ensure equitable distribution, especially with the new feature that alerts schools if a beneficiary has siblings enrolled in the same or other schools, thus enabling a comprehensive assessment of the family's circumstances.
The foundation also noted that the system will automatically transfer the data of previously covered students for updating, without the need to re-enter it as new cases, while warning against deleting any student simply because they have moved to another academic stage, to ensure that support continues as long as the need persists and the conditions are met.
