How to book Haram vehicles via the unified mobility platform 2024

Unified mobility platform in the Grand Mosque of Mecca

In line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to utilize modern technology to serve pilgrims, and in accordance with the goals of Vision 2030 aimed at facilitating Hajj and Umrah journeys, the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has launched advanced services through its unified mobility platform . This initiative empowers pilgrims and visitors, particularly the elderly and people with disabilities, to easily book their transportation within the Two Holy Mosques, whether using electric or manual vehicles.

The importance of the mobility platform in improving the pilgrim experience

This platform represents a significant leap forward in crowd management and service organization within the Grand Mosque, eliminating chaos and saving visitors time and effort. Instead of waiting in long queues, pilgrims can now plan their rituals in advance, positively impacting their tranquility and spirituality during the pilgrimage. The platform offers multiple options, including large electric golf carts and various types of manual carts (both propelled and non-propelled).

Steps to benefit from and book the service electronically

To ensure timely service delivery, users can follow these steps via the app or website:

  • Access the platform and click on the "Start Service" option to go directly to the online booking interface .
  • Specify the type of vehicle required: (group golf cart, wheelchair with attendant, or wheelchair without attendant).
  • Choosing the type of ritual or journey: (Tawaf only, Sa'i only, or a complete Umrah).
  • Determine the date and time accurately in accordance with the pilgrim's presence in the Holy Mosque.
  • Complete the electronic payment process (for paid services) and issue the digital booking ticket.

Free services and facilities for people with disabilities and the elderly

Out of the Presidency's commitment to caring for vulnerable groups, the service is provided free of charge to people with disabilities. To benefit from the financial exemption, applicants must present their approved disability card along with their national ID, or provide proof of their status through the "Tawakkalna" application. The free service also extends to the companion of the person with a disability, subject to specific conditions that ensure the necessary support is provided.

In a humanitarian gesture, priority is given to the elderly (over 65 years old) in reservations, with a free handcart delivery service provided to them at the gathering points in the outer courtyards of the Grand Mosque, in appreciation of their status and to alleviate their hardship.

Safety regulations for children and golf cart users

The operators have established strict child safety standards, offering the service free of charge to children under 3 years old, provided they are accompanied by an adult and wear a seatbelt throughout the journey. For users of the group golf carts (capacity 10 passengers), the following instructions must be followed:

  • Sit in the designated seat and do not put your hands or any part of your body out while moving.
  • Large bags and luggage are not allowed inside the trolley to ensure smooth movement.
  • The vehicle stops for the two rak'ahs of Tawaf for only 5 minutes in the designated places, and getting off is not allowed at any other than the official stopping points.
  • If the booking is for Tawaf only, the two Rak’ahs of Tawaf are performed outside the vehicle route and service areas.
