
Urgent – Education: The official age for admission, according to the Gregorian calendar, is the standard for new students
Regarding the first grade of primary school, the ministry clarified that children who completed six years or more before August 24, 2020, are included in the first category for regular admission.
Academic readiness
The second category includes children under six years old by up to 90 days, specifically those born between August 25, 2020, and November 22, 2020, provided they have completed a full year of kindergarten to ensure their academic and social readiness for primary education.
Regarding kindergarten, the Ministry clarified that registration for KG1 is open to children born between August 24, 2022, and August 24, 2023; KG2 is for children born between August 25, 2021, and August 25, 2022; and KG3 is for children born between August 25, 2020, and August 24, 2021, thus ensuring that the age requirements for all levels are met.
A suitable learning environment
The Ministry of Education stressed the importance of adhering to these age groups during electronic registration, noting that compliance with the standard age contributes to organizing the admission process smoothly and ensures that each student receives the appropriate educational environment for their age and cognitive needs, within the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to regulate early education and improve the quality of the basic stages in the educational system.
