In other news, and as part of early preparations for religious seasons, the Authority announced the opening of applications for permits to provide meals for fasting individuals at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH. This version of the permits is distinguished by its high level of governance through a strategic partnership with the national charitable platform "Ihsan" and the "Nusk" platform.
This new organization aims to ensure that donations reach those who deserve them and to provide breakfast meals that meet the highest standards of quality and food safety, while eliminating the randomness that may hinder the movement of worshippers.
Application details and requirements:
- For individuals: Only one meal is allowed (25-50 meals), and the offering for the Grand Mosque is from 3-5 Shaban, and for the Prophet’s Mosque from 6-8 Shaban.
- For non-profit organizations: the minimum is 10 trips, and applications for the Grand Mosque are accepted from 6-8 Shaban, and for the Prophet’s Mosque from 9-11 Shaban.
- Payment mechanism: Payment is made electronically through the “Ehsan” platform within 72 hours of submitting the request, where the price includes full implementation by approved catering companies.
