Parents' Endowment in Al-Uyun launches Ramadan Umrah trips for 50 beneficiaries
In a spiritually uplifting atmosphere of Ramadan, the Da'wah and Community Awareness Association in Al-Uyun, Saudi Arabia, launched its first Ramadan Umrah trip, targeting 50 beneficiaries, including orphans and residents of various nationalities. This unique initiative falls under the "Parents' Endowment" program, which aims to promote social solidarity and enable Muslims to perform their religious rites with ease.
A blessed start and official attendance
The launch of this faith-based caravan witnessed a remarkable official and community presence, led by the head of the Al-Uyun City Center, Masoud Al-Marri, along with a number of heads of charitable organizations and local leaders. This attendance reflects the significant support enjoyed by the non-profit sector in the Kingdom, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030, which seeks to maximize the social impact of charitable work and expand the reach of humanitarian initiatives.
Religious and social dimensions of the initiative
The importance of these trips extends beyond mere organization, encompassing profound religious dimensions. Performing Umrah during Ramadan is considered equivalent to Hajj in reward, making the competition to facilitate it for those in need a supreme act of devotion. The trip's program is designed to strike a delicate balance between devotional and educational aspects, with pilgrims receiving daily practical lessons on performing the rituals according to the Prophet's teachings, thus ensuring the correct performance of the pilgrimage.
The trip aims to strengthen fraternal ties between Muslims, as the first convoy included 50 pilgrims of various nationalities, including Egypt, Sudan, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, which embodies the concept of “Islamic brotherhood” in its finest form and contributes to integrating resident communities within the Saudi social fabric.
Sustainability of charitable work and future plans
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Saleh Al-Kulaib, affirmed that this achievement is the fruit of strategic planning for the "Parents' Endowment" program, praising the support of donors whom he described as partners in success. In the context of expanding charitable giving, the Vice Chairman of the Association, Khalid Al-Hussein, revealed plans to organize an upcoming trip dedicated to citizens, supported by philanthropists, in addition to targeting 15 beneficiaries from the "Aram" Orphanage Association and another 15 from the Al-Oyoun Charitable Association, to bring joy to their hearts during this blessed month.
Impact of the initiative on beneficiaries
The caravan's journey from Al-Uyun to Mecca will conclude with a visit to the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. This initiative has left a profound impact on the participants. Egyptian resident Yasser Mohamed expressed his indescribable joy at performing Umrah for the first time during Ramadan, while Sudanese resident Ali Abu Al-Qasim praised the exceptional organization. Bangladeshi resident Mohammed Somal concluded his expressions of gratitude with prayers for those responsible for this endeavor, which has united the communities and brought joy to their hearts.
