Names of the winners of the King Salman Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran, 27th session

His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and General Supervisor of Local and International Quranic Competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, approved the final results and the names of the winners of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Award for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran for Boys, in its twenty-seventh session. The final rounds of this prestigious competition were held in Riyadh from the 25th to the 29th of Sha'ban, and witnessed outstanding Quranic competition.
The importance of the award and its regional standing
The King Salman Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran holds immense importance both locally and regionally, as it is one of the most prominent competitions dedicated to the Holy Quran and embodies the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to the Quran and its people. The award primarily aims to encourage young people to engage with the Holy Quran through memorization, recitation, and contemplation. Furthermore, this competition serves as a vital resource for preparing memorizers to represent the Kingdom in international competitions, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading nation in serving Islam and Muslims.
Participation details and prizes
The 27th edition witnessed wide participation with (129) contestants from various regions of the Kingdom, who competed honorably in the six categories of the competition. The Ministry allocated valuable cash prizes for the winners, totaling more than (7,000,000) Saudi Riyals, reflecting the significant support this competition enjoys.
Names of the winners in the competition categories
The results of the winners in the award categories are as follows:
- First branch: Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdul-Razzaq Al-Mutawa won first place with a prize of (400,000) riyals, Abdul-Rahman bin Mukhtar bin Ahmed Muhammad came in second with (375,000) riyals, and Abdul-Rahman bin Hassan bin Abdullah Kadaf came in third with (350,000) riyals.
- The second branch: The first place was won by Asil bin Mohammed bin Mualla Al Mafouz (250,000) riyals, the second place went to Omar bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Subaih (225,000) riyals, and the third place went to Ahmed bin Hamed bin Rashid Al Sahli (200,000) riyals.
- Third branch: The first place was won by Muhanna bin Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Muhanna (180,000 riyals), followed by Bilal bin Nafe’ bin Salim Allah Al-Hujaili (170,000 riyals), then Mahmoud bin Riyadh bin Mahmoud Falatah (160,000 riyals), fourth place by Anas bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Ghadouni (150,000 riyals), and fifth place by Asid bin Bashir bin Abdulghaffar Fatni (140,000 riyals).
- Fourth branch: First place went to Khalid bin Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz Al-Askar (120,000) riyals, second place to Abdulrahman bin Tarad bin Tarfa Al-Anzi (110,000) riyals, third place to Amin bin Mohammed bin Abdul Latif Mohammed (100,000) riyals, fourth place to Suleiman bin Bandar bin Mashabeb Al-Qahtani (90,000) riyals, and fifth place to Faisal bin Al-Humaidi bin Hamed Al-Aufi (80,000) riyals.
- Fifth Branch: The first place was achieved by Anas bin Ali bin Tawila Al-Mutairi (60,000) riyals, the second place by Awad bin Sarhan bin Awad Al-Rashidi (55,000) riyals, the third place by Anas bin Yousef bin Mohammed Saleh Abdul-Jawad (50,000) riyals, the fourth place by Mohammed bin Mohsen bin Abdo Adwai (45,000) riyals, and the fifth place by Mohammed bin Mashabeb bin Mohammed Al-Manea (40,000) riyals.
- The sixth branch: The first place was won by Tamim bin Saud bin Dhaif Allah Al-Anzi (35,000) riyals, the second place by Anas bin Muhammad bin Abdulwahid (32,500) riyals, the third place by Bassam bin Hamed bin Atallah Al-Saati (30,000) riyals, the fourth place by Saud bin Bandar bin Abdullah Al-Adwani Al-Zahrani (27,500) riyals, and the fifth place by Abdulrahman bin Badr bin Taher Al-Anzi (25,000) riyals.
Praise for the outstanding level
At the conclusion of the announcement, the Minister of Islamic Affairs commended the high level demonstrated by the contestants, their mastery of memorization, and their excellent recitation. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the efforts exerted in Quran memorization circles and charitable organizations. His Excellency expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince – may God protect them – for their continued support of the Holy Quran and its people. He congratulated the winners and their families, urging them to continue adhering to the teachings of the Holy Quran.
