General context and importance of women's services

Historically, women have played a pivotal role in the religious and scholarly life of the Two Holy Mosques. These modern programs represent a continuation and development of this great legacy, but within a structured institutional framework that meets the demands of the times. These initiatives fall under the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on improving the quality of services provided to pilgrims and ensuring a comprehensive and accessible spiritual experience for all, including women, who constitute a significant percentage of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and visitors.

Local and international impact

Locally, these programs contribute to enhancing religious awareness among female citizens and residents, opening up broad horizons for them to participate in volunteer work and pursue Islamic studies. Internationally, providing specialized, high-quality services to women from around the world reflects the civilized image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its profound concern for the comfort and well-being of female pilgrims to the Holy Mosque. This positive experience directly influences the impressions these visitors have upon returning to their home countries, where they become ambassadors who share the warm hospitality, care, and beneficial knowledge they received, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as the beating heart of the Islamic world.

The Presidency of Religious Affairs affirmed that it is continuing to develop its women’s service system, employ modern technologies, and expand the range of languages used in its programs, with the aim of reaching the largest possible number of beneficiaries and spreading the message of the Two Holy Mosques based on moderation, tolerance, and peace.
